1) Please describe the student-run campus environmentalsustainability  organization in which you have a leadership role.

Key issues addressed and programs implemented since August 2008: Recycling, Earth Hour, bicycling program

Progress made on each issueprogram since August 2008: We are worked on improving campus recycling by passing out personal recycling bins to each incoming freshmen.  Earth Hour 2009 was a big success on campus, we asked the administration to turn out the lights on our chapel and they agreed to do that.  The bicycling program is still just an idea, but bike lanes are part of the campus master plan and we have been talking to other schools about their bike programs.

[  x ]  No, but the incoming president is very concerned with environmental issues and they may be making a sustainability committee in the future.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

4) Please describe any additional campus sustainability activities or projects that you or your group has initiated at your school: We planned an entire week celebrating and encouraging sustainability this year, during which we worked with the campus dining facilities and facilities management to have several activities to get students involved in green issues.  We also sent a group of students to the Powershift conference in Washington, DC.
